On February 8th, Safety introduced the option to choose the 12-payment installment plan at new business for Direct Bill. Safety is now offering the option to automatically change all qualifying* policies to the 12-payment plan upon renewal for policies effective July 1st, 2022 through June 30th, 2023. The form in this link allows you to choose which Lines of Business you would like to convert to 12-payments upon renewal. The form will be available from April 11th through May 10th. * Please note that the following types of policies are NOT eligible for automatic renewal into a 12-pay plan:
Full Bill (1-Pay) and 5-Pay
MAIP and Ceded
Financed and Mortgagee Billed
Agency Bill and Payroll Deduct
Policies with a past-due balance when the renewal processes
Policies with two or more returned payments (NSF)
Policies that are not eligible for a 12-payment plan will renew as normal. You will continue to have the option to enroll new business into 12-pay by selecting it in Safety Express, or Safety Commercial Express, on all voluntary lines of business. eView Report The Policy “Renewals” report on eView will begin to display the Renewal Bill Plan for each policy starting with 7/1 renewals.
